…He makes sinners right in his sight
when they believe in Jesus.
Can we boast,
then,
that we have done anything to be accepted by God?
No,
because our acquittal is not based on obeying the law.
It is based on faith.
So we are made right with God through faith
and not by obeying the law.
Well then,
if we emphasize faith,
does this mean that we can forget about the law?
Of course not!
In fact,
only when we have faith do we truly fulfill the law.

Blessings of Believing
For everyone has sinned;
we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.
Yet God,
in his grace,
freely makes us right in his sight.
He did this through Christ Jesus
when he freed us from the penalty for our sins.
For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin.
People are made right with God
when they believe that Jesus sacrificed his life,
shedding his blood.
Romans 3:23-25
Blessings of Placing Our Faith In Jesus Christ
For no one can ever be made right with God
by doing what the law commands.
The law simply shows us how sinful we are.
But now God has shown us a way
to be made right with him
without keeping the requirements of the law,
as was promised in the writings of Moses
and the prophets long ago.
We are made right with God
by placing our faith in Jesus Christ.
And this is true for everyone who believes,
no matter who we are.
Romans 3:20-22
Blessings of Not Making Excuses
For ever since the world was created,
people have seen the earth and sky.
Through everything God made,
they can clearly see his invisible qualities—
his eternal power and divine nature.
So they have no excuse for not knowing God.
Romans 1:20
Blessings of Being Made Right In God’s Sight
This Good News tells us
how God makes us right in his sight.
This is accomplished from start to finish by faith.
As the Scriptures say,
“It is through faith that a righteous person has life.”
Romans 1:17
Blessings of the Power of God
For I am not ashamed
of this Good News about Christ.
It is the power of God at work,
saving everyone who believes…
Romans 1:16
Blessings of Mutual Encouragement
When we get together,
I want to encourage you in your faith,
but I also want to be encouraged by yours.
Romans 1:12
Blessings of Immanuel
This is how Jesus the Messiah was born.
His mother,
Mary,
was engaged to be married to Joseph.
But before the marriage took place,
while she was still a virgin,
she became pregnant through the power of the Holy Spirit.
All of this occurred to fulfill the Lord’s message
through his prophet:
“Look!
The virgin will conceive a child!
She will give birth to a son,
and they will call him Immanuel,
which means ‘God is with us.’”
Mattthew 1:18, 22-23
Blessings of Glory
So the Word became human
and made his home among us.
He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness.
And we have seen his glory,
the glory of the Father’s one and only Son.
John 1:14
Blessings of Believing The Beginning
In the beginning the Word already existed.
The Word was with God,
and the Word was God.
He existed in the beginning with God.
God created everything through him,
and nothing was created except through him.
The Word gave life to everything that was created,
and his life brought light to everyone.
The light shines in the darkness,
and the darkness can never extinguish it.
John 1:1-5
