Because God’s children are human beings—

The Son radiates God’s own glory
and expresses the very character of God,
and he sustains everything
by the mighty power of his command
When he had cleansed us from our sins,
he sat down in the place of honor
at the right hand of the majestic God in heaven.

…put into action the generosity
that comes from your faith
as you understand and experience all the good things
we have in Christ.

Because of his grace
he declared us righteous
and gave us confidence
that we will inherit eternal life.

…he saved us,
not because of the righteous things we had done,
but because of his mercy.
He washed away our sins,
giving us a new birth and new life
through the Holy Spirit.

Blessings of Vigilance
…guard what God has entrusted to you.
Avoid godless, foolish discussions
with those who oppose you with their so-called knowledge.
Some people have wandered from the faith
by following such foolishness.
