…”Then what should I do with Jesus
who is called the Messiah?”…
…“I demand in the name of the living God—
tell us if you are the Messiah, the Son of God.”
Jesus replied, “You have said it.
And in the future you will see the Son of Man
seated in the place of power at God’s right hand
and coming on the clouds of heaven.”
On the way, Jesus told them,
“Tonight all of you will desert me.
For the Scriptures say,
‘God will strike the Shepherd,
and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.’
But after I have been raised from the dead,
I will go ahead of you to Galilee and meet you there.”
The master said,
“Well done, my good and faithful servant.
You have been faithful in handling this small amount,
so now I will give you many more responsibilities.
Let’s celebrate together!”
“So if someone tells you,
‘Look, the Messiah is out in the desert,’
don’t bother to go and look.
Or, ‘Look, he is hiding here,’
don’t believe it!
For as the lightning flashes in the east
and shines to the west,
so it will be when the Son of Man comes.
But the one who endures to the end will be saved.
And the Good News about the Kingdom
will be preached throughout the whole world,
so that all nations will hear it;
and then the end will come.
Jesus replied, “I assure you
that when the world is made new
and the Son of Man sits upon his glorious throne…
everyone who has give up…
for my sake,
will receive a hundred times as much in return
and will inherit eternal life.
Jesus looked at them intently and said,
“Humanly speaking, it is impossible.
But with God everything is possible.”
“I also tell you this:
If two of you agree here on earth
concerning anything you ask,
my Father in heaven will do it for you.
For where two or three gather together as my followers,
I am there among them.”
“…whoever believes in Him should not perish
but have eternal life.
For God so loved the world
that He gave His only begotten Son,
that whoever believes in Him should not perish
but have eternal life.”
