“Look! I am placing a foundation stone in Jerusalem,
a firm and tested stone.
It is a precious cornerstone that is safe to build on.
Whoever believes need never be shaken.

…those who die in the LORD will live;
their bodies will rise again!
Those who sleep in the earth
will rise and sing for joy!
For your life-giving light will fall like dew
on your people in the place of the dead!
Blessings of No More Death
…he will remove the cloud of gloom,
the shadow of death that hangs over the earth.
He will swallow up death forever!
The Sovereign LORD will wipe away all tears.
Blessings of Consulting the Planner
…You run to…You inspect…
You store up…You survey…you build…
But you never ask for help
from the One who did all this.
You never considered the One who planned this long ago.
Blessings of Seeing and Speaking Truth
What sorrow for those who say
that evil is good and good is evil,
that dark is light and light is dark,
that bitter is sweet and sweet is bitter.

Blessings of Mount Zion
In the last days, the mountain of the LORD’s house
will be the highest of all—
the most important place on earth.
It will be raised above the other hills,
and people from all over the world will stream there to worship.

…there is more joy in heaven over one lost sinner
who repents and returns to God
than over ninety-nine others who are righteous
and haven’t strayed away!

For a child is born to us,
a son is given to us.
The government will rest on his shoulders.

Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,

His government and its peace

for all eternity.

Look to God’s instructions and teachings!
People who contradict his word are completely in the dark.
They will go from one place to another, weary and hungry.
And because they are hungry,
they will rage and curse their king and their God
They will look up to heaven and down at the earth,
but wherever they look,
there will be trouble and anguish and dark despair.
