But for those who are righteous,
the way is not steep and rough.
You are a God who does what is right,
and you smooth out the path ahead of them.
Isaiah 26:7

Isaiah 26:7
(Mykenos, Greece)
You will keep in perfect peace
all who trust in you,
all whose thoughts are fixed on you!
Trust in the LORD always,
for the LORD GOD is the eternal Rock.
Remember the things I have done in the past.
for I alone am God!
I am God, and there is none like me.
Only I can tell you the future
before it even happens.
Everything I plan will come to pass,
for I do whatever I wish.
And then he told them,
“Go into all the world
and preach the Good News to everyone.
Anyone who believes
and is baptized will be saved.
But anyone who refuses to believe
will be condemned.“
…but the angel said,
“Don’t be alarmed.
You are looking for Jesus of Nazareth,
who was crucified.
He isn’t here!
He is risen from the dead!…”
…”Are you the Messiah,
the Son of the Blessed One?”
Jesus said,
“I AM.
And you will see the Son of Man
seated in the place of power at God’s right hand
and coming on the clouds of heaven.”
Jesus asked them,
“Am I some dangerous revolutionary,
that you come with swords and clubs to arrest me?
Why didn’t you arrest me in the Temple?
I was there among you teaching every day.
But these things are happening
to fulfill what the Scriptures say about me.”
God sent a man,
John the Baptist,
to tell about the light
so that everyone might believe because of his testimony.
John himself was not the light;
he was simply a witness to tell about the light.
The one who is the true light,
who gives light to everyone,
was coming into the world.

In the beginning the Word already existed.
The Word was with God,
and the Word was God.
He existed in the beginning with God.
God created everything through him,
and nothing was created except through him.
The Word gave life to everything that was created,
and his life brought light to everyone.
The light shines in the darkness,
and the darkness can never extinguish it.

And he said,
“Yes, it was written long ago
that the Messiah would suffer and die
and rise from the dead on the third day.
It was also written that this message would be proclaimed
in the authority of his name to all the nations,
beginning in Jerusalem:
‘There is forgiveness of sins for all who repent.’”
