…God shows no favoritism.
In every nation he accepts those who fear him
and do what is right.
This is the message of Good News
for the people of Israel—
that there is peace with God through Jesus Christ,
who is Lord of all.
…God shows no favoritism.
In every nation he accepts those who fear him
and do what is right.
This is the message of Good News
for the people of Israel—
that there is peace with God through Jesus Christ,
who is Lord of all.
But the Lord said,
“Go, for Saul is my chosen instrument
to take my message to the Gentiles and to kings,
as well as to the people of Israel.
…“We must obey God rather than any human authority.
For Jesus is the one referred to in the Scriptures,
where it says,
‘The stone that you builders rejected
has now become the cornerstone.’
There is salvation in no one else!
God has given no other name under heaven
by which we must be saved.”
Moses said, ‘The LORD your God
will raise up for you a Prophet like me
from among your own people.
Listen carefully to everything he tells you.’
But God released him from the horrors of death
and raised him back to life,
for death could not keep him in its grip.
And we know that God causes everything
to work together
for the good of those who love God
and are called according to his purpose for them.
Then Jesus took them through the writings of Moses
and all the prophets,
explaining from all the Scriptures
the things concerning himself.
