Understand, therefore, that the LORD your God
is indeed God.
He is the faithful God who keeps his covenant
for a thousand generations
and lavishes his unfailing love
on those who love him and obey his commands.
Understand, therefore, that the LORD your God
is indeed God.
He is the faithful God who keeps his covenant
for a thousand generations
and lavishes his unfailing love
on those who love him and obey his commands.
Jesus responded,
“Why are you afraid?
You have so little faith!”
Then he got up and rebuked the wind and waves,
and suddenly there was a great calm.
…The LORD is our God, the LORD alone.
And you must love the LORD your God
with all your heart,
all your soul,
and all your strength.
…the officer said,
“Lord, I am not worthy…
Just say the word from where you are,
and my servant will be healed.
I know this…”
When Jesus heard this, he was amazed…
he said, “I tell you the truth,
I haven’t seen faith like this in all of Israel.
…remember this and keep it firmly in mind:
The LORD is God
both in heaven and on earth,
and there is no other.
…“Lord,” the man said,
“if you are willing, you can heal me and make me clean.”
Jesus reached out and touched him.
“I am willing,” he said.
“Be healed!”
Now search all of history,
from the time God created people on the earth until now,
and search from one end of the heavens to the other.
Has anything as great as this ever been seen or heard before?
He showed you these things so you would know
that the LORD is God and there is no other.
Beware of false prophets
who come disguised as harmless sheep
but are really vicious wolves.
…just as you can identify a tree by its fruit,
so you can identify people by their actions.
…from there you will search again
for the LORD your God.
And if you search for him with all your heart and soul,
you will find him.
Do to others
whatever you would like them to do to you.
This is the essence of all that is taught
in the law and the prophets.
