Blessings of Knowing

“But the tax collector stood at a distance

and dared not even lift his eyes to heaven as he prayed.

Instead,

he beat his chest in sorrow,

saying,

‘O God, be merciful to me,

for I am a sinner.’

I tell you,

this sinner,

not the Pharisee,

returned home justified before God.

For those who exalt themselves will be humbled,

and those who humble themselves will be exalted.”

Luke 18:13-14

Blessings of The Father Who Hosts Heaven’s Parties

When he finally came to his senses…

…he returned home to his father.

And while he was still a long way off,

his father saw him coiming.

Filled with love and compassion,

he ran to his son,

embraced him,

and kissed him.

…his father said…

We must celebrate…

for this son of mine was dead and has now returned to life.

He was lost,

but now he is found.

So the party began.
