Keep me safe,
O God,
for I have come to you for refuge.
I said to the LORD,
“You are my Master!
Every good thing I have comes from you.”
Keep me safe,
O God,
for I have come to you for refuge.
I said to the LORD,
“You are my Master!
Every good thing I have comes from you.”
…I would not have told the people of Israel to seek me
if I could not be found.
I,
the LORD,
speak only what is true
and declare only what is right.
…the one who formed you says,
“Do not be afraid,
for I have ransomed you.
I have called you by name;
you are mine.
When you go through deep waters,
I will be with you.
When you go through rivers of difficulty,
you will not drown.
When you walk through the fire of oppression,
you will not be burned up;
the flames will not consume you.”
For I hold you by your right hand—
I,
the LORD your God.
And I say to you,
‘Don’t be afraid.
I am here to help you.’
Joyful are people of integrity,
who follow the instructions of the LORD.
Oh,
that my actions would consistently
reflect your decrees!
As I learn your righteous regulations,
I will thank you by living as I should!
But the one who redeems them is strong.
His name is the LORD of Heaven’s Armies.
He will defend them
and give them rest again in Israel…
The LORD has given me a strong warning
not to think like everyone else does.
He said,
“Don’t call everything a conspiracy like they do,
and don’t live in dread of what frightens them.
Make the LORD of Heaven’s Armies
holy in your life.
He is the one you should fear.
He is the one who should make you tremble.
He will keep you safe…”
Praise the LORD,
all you nations.
Praise him,
all you people of the earth.
For his unfailing love for us is powerful;
the LORD’s faithfulness endures forever.
Praise the LORD!
