I praise God for what he has promised;
yes, I praise the LORD for what he has promised.
I trust in God, so why should I be afraid?
what can mere mortals do to me?
I praise God for what he has promised;
yes, I praise the LORD for what he has promised.
I trust in God, so why should I be afraid?
what can mere mortals do to me?
“Be still, and know that I am God!
I will be honored by every nation.
I will be honored throughout the world.”
The LORD of Heaven’s Armies is here among us;
the God of Israel is our fortress.
By faith we understand
that the entire universe was formed at God’s command,
that what we now see did not come
from anything that can be seen.
And it is impossible to please God without faith.
Anyone who wants to come to him
must believe that God exists
and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.
Faith is the confidence that what we hope for
will actually happen;
it gives us assurance about things we cannot see.
Patient endurance is what you need now,
so that you will continue to do God’s will.
Then you will receive all that he has promised.
“For in just a little while,
the Coming One will come and not delay.”
…we can boldly enter heaven’s Most Holy Place
because of the blood of Jesus.
By his death,
Jesus opened a new and life-giving way through the curtain
into the most Holy Place.
And since we have a great High Priest
who rules over God’s house,
let us go right into the presence of God
with sincere hearts fully trusting him…
The first covenant between God and Israel
had regulations for worship and a place of worship here on earth.
…there was a curtain, and behind the curtain was
…the Most Holy Place.
…only the high priest ever entered the Most Holy Place,
and only once a year.
…the entrance to the Most Holy Place was not freely open…
So Christ has now become the High Priest…
He has entered the greater, more perfect Tabernacle in heaven…
With his own blood…
he entered the Most Holy Place once for all time
and secured our redemption forever.
